The last performance fron our group!

Hello there! On this week, it was the last performace of informative speech. The speaker was Anna. She sent us the script and the presentation of her speech. 

1. Introduction: ( 10 points)

·         What technique(s) was used in the introduction? The speaker used the technique "Giving a quotation" and also she used a rhetorical questions.

·         Any link-element? Yes. "The ability to persuade is an art that can be developed. Persuasive speech, if ethically presented, will benefit both the presenter and the accepting audience. That is why a public speaker needs to advance their persuasive speaking skills in order to help the listeners accept an idea, an attitude, or an action presented."

·         Was the thesis statement given? "This leads me to my thesis statement: The knowledge of certain influential techniques can significantly increase the chances that the audience will be persuaded by your speech."

·         How effective was the introduction?

·         What organizational structure was used in the body of the speech? The speaker used outlining. It was main headings, supporting materials and some details. Also the speech had a lot of transitions and signposts which showed how all the parts of speech fit together. Thanks for this! It was perfect!

·         What technique(s) was used in the conclusion? It was a quotation “Practice like you've never won. Perform like you've never lost.”

·         Were all the steps followed (summary, action, emotional appeal?)

Summary: "To conclude, today we learned about the principles and two important aspects of persuasive speaking – the audience analysis and means of appealing to the audience."

Action:  "Presenting your persuasive speech, appeal to the beliefs, morality and values of your listeners. Choose a topic you’re passionate about, connect with the audience and engage them in your thoughts and words."

Emotional appeal: "Believe in what you say and you will deliver a brilliant motivational speech. And don’t forget: the right word is a power - it can touch hearts, inspire minds or change lives.”"
