Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.

Honestly, this is the first time I've heard about this organization. Our teacher gave us the task to watch Toastmasters 2016 and pay atention to 3 speakers: Josephine Lee, Darren Tay and Aaron Beverly.
Firstly, I decided to watch only three speech,  BUT after the third speech I could not stop...and next day I continued again... It's so interesting, some of them are so funny, some made me cry!

So, turned back to the task.
I should to rate and to give places to these 3 speeches.

I. Aaron Beverly “Leave a lasting memory using as few words as possible and strive with every fiver of your being to avoid being the type of person who rambles on and on with no end in sign more likely than not causing most listeners to sit and think to themselves oh my goodness can somebody please make this stop” it was the title of his speech, and it was the trick of it.
The speaker talked about words that we tell to people.
He said "A few words, they can make people happy but they can do more. They can bring pain and sorrow, prejudice and hate but also peace and love, pride and inspiration. And, within that realm of inspiration, a few words can do something extraordinary."

His speech was so impressive indeed... Aaron Beverly used a silence at the begining of the speech and it was powerful! After a 2-minute silence, a question followed that called the audience to trust: "Be honest! You enjoyed that, didn’t you?". Further Beverly very politely asked the audience to repeat his title, thereby trying to explain the body of the speech. "Just because you say more doesn’t mean people will remember what you say." All the information was understandable, it was clearly explained and all the pieces of speech linked together logically. The information was completed. The conclusion of his speech was as powerful as the beginning. There was so heartbreaking story from his life.
I believe that life examples are the most reliable. The speaker conveyed information through stories that oneday happened in his life and that forced to be lost in thought. With the help of which everyone plunged into himself and recalled similar examples from his life. The speech was well-structured and he unify all the facts and stories and made a great conclusion. The speaker’s speech tempo was moderate, which helped me to clearly understand the information. He did not use a very high tone, but not low, that pleasantly affected my hearing. Beverly weared staid "business" suit that gave him even more strength and power. He was not intrusive in movements, everything was in moderation. Aaron spoke 8 minutes. Despite of so long beginning, he adherences to time requirements.

Of course it was the best speech in my opinion and I gave him the first place.

II.BUT, in the same time Josephine Lee is in my heart too. "I Will Be There"
Her speech was about friendship. "I will be there”. Those four words can help you make a friend. And if you say it enough times and follow through, you will make a lifelong friend."
Such a heartfelt speech and a wonderful reminder for all of us to be there for our friends. Josephine demonstrated such great speech craft, body language, and comic timing.
I think she deserves the first place but it already used, let it be the second...

III.And finally, the third place that Darren Tay deserved. Yees, I think so. It's just my opinion, nothing personal, I may say :)  "Outsmart, Outlast" was the title of his speech.
He spoke about our own "bully", that all of us has.
”The best way to deal with inner bully is not to run or hide. You cannot run away from the bully here. The best way to deal with it is to stand firm. Face it and acknowledge its presence. When you do so, you are no longer identifying with it. You are stepping out and observing it. It’s like instead of being out there in the storm. You are in the house watching the storm. Your inner bully were weakened and fade.”
The first form of communication was non-verbal: he pulled out the undies from his pocket. He almost tripped putting on those undies. And I think it was too much.
Throughout the speech he was too emotional and his voice was very loud. It seemed a little bit rude.
